The Nissan Juke is an economical and convenient crossover which provides the space of a larger car combined with the nippiness of a supermini. It is ideal as a small family car and its purchase and running costs are such that it is an affordable car to drive too. There are three ranges available but even the entry level model, the Visia, is packed full of features that you wouldn’t normally expect especially at less than £14,000 brand new.
The Visia is the entry level range, though you may not think it. It has leading safety features including ABS, EBD, and ESP as well as alloy wheels and even air conditioning and electric pack. The stereo includes an AUX socket so that you can plug your mp3 player in to enjoy even greater in car entertainment options. Available as either a 1.5litre diesel or 1.6litre petrol, the Visia is available for under £15,000 and £13,500 respectively.
The next range is the Acenta range, and there are in actual fact three different ranges of Acenta. There’s the standard Acenta as well as a Sport and Premium. The Sport is available with the 1.6litre CVT engine which delivers considerably more power, although this does effect the consumption figures. The Nissan Juke Acenta Premium includes colour reversing camera and a touch screen sat nav and in car entertainment system.
The Tekna range is available with a 4 wheel drive system and it offers the sportier 17″ alloys. It also has climate and cruise control, heated seats, and many other options. The 1.6 litre, 2 wheel drive petrol engine has a combined fuel consumption of just under 50mpg while the 1.5 litre diesel reaches nearly 60mpg. The 4 wheel drive has the more advanced engine delivering an impressive 188bhp but this means that consumption drops to a still respectable 40mpg.
